Fire protection

Structural fire protection for the additional safety

Are you interested in an improvement of the fire protection of your house? Professional fire protection of buildings is still the core issue of public interest. Every year there are hundreds of casualties caused by fires in Germany. But it does not have to be like that! Meanwhile there are numerous easy and safe constructional measures to counteract fires or to contain them in case of a fire.
Based on our many years of experience, we are ready to improve the structural fire protection in Germany, Austria, Poland and Thailand. In accordance with the legal and insurance requirements, we always follow the fire protection standard DIN 4102 in a conscientious and professional way to offer you the best possible protection. We offer you all fire protection measures for a complete fire protection package. We would be happy to advise you individually for a location-specific and cost-effective solution in order to reliably meet the mandatory requirements.

Fire resistant plasters / fire-resistant flocking

In order to guarantee optimal fire protection for your ceilings and walls, we offer three different fire protection systems. We would be happy to advise you which of these systems are useful or necessary for your building.

Spray-on plaster is a highly effective and versatile fire protection. For example, fire protection insulation using the spray-on method is applied in underground carparks as well as for the construction of halls and buildings.

this is due to the fact that both concrete ceilings as well as steel girders and steel supports, trapezoidal sheets, ventilation ducts and wooden beam ceilings can be provided with mineral fibre-based plasters and mineral hard plasters for fire protection purposes.

The spray-on plaster consisting of aluminosilicates is mixed with inorganic hydraulic binders or vermiculite, perlite and fire protection additives and thus offers the optimum fire protection.

Our range of services includes the following fire resistance classes

The lining of basement ceiling with a cement-bound mineral fibre-based plaster of building material class A1 offers the optimal fire protection together with thermal insulation and acoustic insulation.

With this type of fire protection, the mineral-based plaster is applied to the basement ceiling using the spray-on method. Depending on the surface, the tested latex-based bonding courses or expanded metal mesh are applied to ensure optimum durability of the fire protection. The binding time is between 8 and 10 days, depending on the air temperature, the final strength is achieved after about 28 days.

On request, the surface can be finished by rolling or pressing. The surface strength can also be increased using fibre hardener or colour coating. So you not only get a safe and functional, but also long-lasting and visually appealing final result.

Fire protection using mineral insulation boards WLG 35 is a particularly good solution for basement ceilings. The boards are fixed on the ground using a bonding or is a particularly good solution for basement ceilings. The boards are fixed on the ground using a bonding or

dowel method. The mineral boards consist of mineral wool and have a surface made of glass fleece. As a material of building material class A2, the insulation boards are non-inflammable.

Besides the fire protection function, the mineral insulating boards also have a heat insulation function, so that with this system you can not only do something for the fire protection of your building, but also save heating costs at the same time.

Penetration Seals

Fire often spreads quickly in an unimpeded manner via pipelines, cable guides or air lines from room to room. To prevent this, penetration seals are installed in those places where cable guides and pipelines break through a wall or ceiling.

Our range of services includes both soft and hard penetration seals. In this way, we can perfectly handle different cable guides and pipelines, to provide the best possible fire protection.

Soft penetration seals contain mineral fibre-based plaster, fire protection coating and fire protection spackle.

Thanks to their flexible and complex design options, soft penetration seals are particularly suitable for larger cable and pipe seals. Cables or pipes with a fire protection coating are installed on trays. Spaces between cables or pipes, as well as the areas between the trays and the penetration seal edges, are seamlessly sealed with spackle. In this way any fire is reliably prevented from spreading at this point.

Hard penetration seals consist largely of non-inflammable fire-retardant mortar.

Due to their simple processing, hard penetration seals are particularly suitable for the isolation of single cables or pipes because cables or pipes provided with fire protection coating are directly surrounded by the mortar compound.

Hard seals can easily be pierced to accommodate additional cables or pipes later. Cables or pipes that are no longer required can also be

removed easily and the openings left can be safely closed using the mortar compound. A fire will be reliably stopped here.

Mixed penetration seals are made of different materials depending on the application. They can either be implemented using fire protection pillows, fire-retardant mortar, fireproof foam or fireproof stones.

Due to their versatile design options, mixed penetration seals are suitable for simultaneous application on cables, pipes and other lines. This ensures that a fire can be reliably contained even with complex seals.

Fireproof cladding

A fire can spread unhindered throughout the whole building via any types of cable routes, if no appropriate precautions are taken. In particular, the escape routes must remain passable in case of an emergency. To ensure this, fireproof cladding is also installed besides the penetration seals. They consist of non-inflammable materials and are used to coat cable routes as well as ducts and pipelines.

Moreover, load-bearing or stiffening elements of a building, such as steel and wooden girders or cable shafts, are provided with fireproof cladding, so that they can reach a specific fire resistance class.

The aim of this measure is to maintain the stability of a building as long as possible in the event of a fire. In the best case, the time gained in this way enables safe evacuation of people from the building and successful extinguishing measures before the building suffers an extensive damage.
